Names/namesakes that you've come across
|
Probably the zillionth thread on the subject but fuck it.
Used to work with a Lisa Simpson.
Also someone who's surname was Badman.
Someone also swore to me once they worked with a Sam Bow.
And remember reading on here a teacher at their school was called Mr. Dick and when he became headmaster the sign on his door said Dick - Head. (Obviously 100% true)
Any others?

Years ago me and my brother (RiP) were in the doctors and they used to call out the names, the receptionist shouted "Muhammed Ali" and we both cracked up, sat there in tears for ages while everyone else just sat there stony faced! ha!
Went to see my Neurosurgeon on Tuesday and was waiting (As usual) and the nurse came out and shouted "William Hill" a bloke got up and i said "I bet that's him!" she didn't get the joke!

I have a VERY famous footballer's name.
Heard 'are you a relation of' and 'did your parents support ★★FC?' three times a week for about 40 years.
Bores me shitless when someone mentions it.

Went to Barnet v Colchester. In the early 90s. My name was called out on the tannoy to make my way over to the main stand for an emergency phone call. Noone knew I was there apart from the mates I was with. Got a plod to walk me round the pitch. When I got there there was already a bloke with my name there. I have quite an unusual name so the chances of two of us in a crowd of 1500 was really weird

My old football team included Steve Davis, Martin Lewis, Charlie Chaplin and Paul Danilels. Looks like a line up for Blankety Blank.
